About Mike

Career

For the past 14 years, Mike has worked at the coalface of the veterinary industry — leading from the front in clinical practice, team management, and business governance.

A veterinarian by trade and an entrepreneur by instinct, he’s built a career grounded in real experience, hard work, and genuine care for people.

From hands-on clinical work to boardroom strategy, Mike has learned what it takes to build resilient teams and profitable, purpose-driven businesses.

As a director of a leading veterinary company, he’s guided teams through growth, challenge, and change — always with a pragmatic, people-first approach.

Today

Mike now applies that same philosophy to business acquisition, investment and partnerships across multiple industries, targeting ventures that combine strong fundamentals with untapped potential.

He brings authenticity, insight, and drive to every deal, partnership, and team — building an ecosystem of sustainable, people-centred success stories.

His focus is on helping others find success, self-respect, and fulfilment through meaningful work and purpose-led business.

His personal journey — including recovery from a near career-ending traumatic brain injury — reinforced his belief in the power of mindset, wellbeing, and meaningful work as the foundation of lasting success.

Experience and Perspective

Having lived and worked across both provincial New Zealand and metropolitan England, Mike offers a broad understanding of what makes communities — and the people within them — thrive. He remains deeply connected to the agricultural sector and the individuals who drive it.

Mike’s recovery journey and renewed focus on wellbeing gave him a powerful sense of purpose — and a passion for helping others build sustainable success. Today, he advocates for health, mindset and balance as essential foundations for meaningful performance in both professional and personal life.

He continues to mentor university students and new graduates, sharing practical lessons in leadership, self-belief, and building careers that last — rooted in balance, purpose, and fulfilment.

Values

Mike grew up in rural Canterbury, where hard work, persistence, and community weren’t just ideals — they were a way of life.

From a young age, he learned lessons in grit and business acumen while working in his father’s successful motor mechanic company. That early exposure ignited a lasting passion for entrepreneurship and for creating things of real value.

Those same roots continue to guide him today. Mike believes in doing what’s right, not just what’s easy. He values people who show up, take responsibility, and care deeply about what they create.

I believe a leader’s energy is contagious. Success begins with how you show up — and the culture you build
